Antique Japanese 18k Gold Mt. Fuji Locket

Antique 18k gold locket from the Victorian era. Likely made in Japan, it has a hand-done image of the volcano Mt. Fuji behind a traditional Japanese home. A perfect example of Aesthetic era artistry; the design extends to the back of the locket.

Markings: k18 (Japanese mark for 18k), Makers mark: Star with “H”

Measurements: 27mm x 27mm without the bail. Approx 44mm in total length. Comes with a new 18” 14k gold filled chain.

Condition: Good antique condition with some dings and scratches. Opens and stays shut properly. No photo frames.
